I earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri. During my last two years of college, I was hired by the university to be a science tutor. When I tutor, I work to explain the material through easy-to-understand methods. I do, however, encourage the students to go through problems themselves. This helps show that they truly have learned the subject material. I look forward to the relationships built during tutoring sessions, especially with those who are self-motivated and willing to learn. The students I have worked with have said my tutoring was "outstanding." This included my tutoring ability, my understanding of the material, my communication with the student, my organization, and my attitude. I've been described as "thoroughly helpful" as well as praised for explaining concepts with a lot of detail. My areas of specialty are introductory level college chemistry and high school chemistry. I look forward to helping students see that science and math can be easy to understand! I am also able tutor students on study methods and time management skills, which apply to any subject or class. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, working out, playing video games, reading the news, and being with friends.
