Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree at Maryville University, and then began my career in public school teaching and administration. While earning my master's degree at the University of Illinois, I taught sixth through twelfth grade social studies and English. I retired after thirty wonderful years to start a small private school for under-achieving students, where I served as the principal. I also tutored social studies, math, and English for students in middle school and high school.I have a passion for witnessing student's master the skills and concepts that allow them to become confident learners. A confident student is able to take on future challenges and academic goals because they are able to believe in themselves and their abilities in education. I truly love to be a part of each student's success.In my free time, I play the organ and piano in my church. I enjoy reading, and I am also working on completing my second novel.
