I am certified to teach special education students in both Illinois and Missouri where I have been given the opportunity to teach special education students for more than a decade. Throughout my career I have taught students at all levels and subjects. I now work individually with students attending Parkway Central Middle School in all subjects. My teaching style is very positive and has even earned me the nickname of "Mr. Positive" amongst coworkers. This distinction makes me happy because it tells me that my desire to make others feel special has been a success. I take the time to get to know each of my students, what motivates them, and how they learn best. I am able to create a learning environment that makes them feel secure, which facilitates their academic success. I have extensive experience tutoring in a variety of fields including test preparation, writing, grammar, literature, phonics, reading, American and European history, government, economics, math, social studies, science, business, biology, and psychology.When I'm not teaching or tutoring I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting local parks, watching movies, exploring new restaurants, reading, creative writing, playing with my dog, or watching sports.
