Experience
I attended Truman State University where I graduated with a degree in Romance Languages, as well as a degree in Psychology with a concentration on social behavior. I am able to tutor in many different subjects, including English (Writing, Reading, Essay Editing, Literature, and Grammar/Mechanics), Spanish (levels 1-4), French (levels 1-3), Italian, and Psychology. I especially enjoy teaching Psychology and helping to edit essays. I am also available to help students who are in IB courses, as well as those preparing for standardized testing such as the ACT, especially in the English, Writing, and Reading sections. I believe any academic topic can be enjoyable. I strive to create a laid-back, comfortable setting for my students so that they are able to work at their own pace. I enjoy working with students to create a plan for their educational goals so they are able to track their path to success. I believe it is important, both in academia and in real life, to learn to set realistic goals and then work to reach them. When I'm not working, I enjoy keeping active through swimming, horseback riding, hiking, and travelling. I also enjoy reading and cooking for friends and family.
